Please sell your tickets asap and get your money back into your coach. Return unwanted tickets straight away to avoid getting charged for them. We can sell them to someone else if we get them back quickly!

Raffles
Our next raffle week at the Papanui Club is the week of 28th July 2008.
Please contact Deraulle 3522 400 if you can spare a couple of hours on any of the days.

We have just completed our first week of running raffles at The Papanui Club. A very successful week for our club, we made $1010.00. This was an excellent result. A huge thankyou to all those committee members, players and parents that gave their time so generously. We would love to see some new helpers for our next week so please contact a committee member and let them know if you can go on the roster. Two hours is all that’s asked! Its very easy and lots of fun!

Fundraiser  Hypnotist

Invites the whole family to experience Master Hypnotist Brian Gee.

Saturday 26th July 2008
7.00pm start ( Bar opens at 6.00pm )
The Papanui Club

A great social night for all Merlins players, their families and friends.

Tickets are only $15.00 each.

The Merlins club tries extremely hard to keep our netball subs as low as possible and the only way we can achieve this and provide all the things our players, coaches and umpires need is to fund raise through the year. We always try to make this a enjoyable club occasion as well as a chance to raise the necessary funds required. We will be sending out two tickets to each player/family involved with our club. We expect you to sell your two tickets in the next two weeks. More would be excellent!

We use this money to:

  • purchase new uniforms (so you do not have to buy your own)
  • balls
  • bibs
  • first aid kits
  • whistles
  • kitbags
  • fees, to send coaches and umpires to sit their NZ levels coach and umpire training clinics
  • trophies and awards for prize-giving
  • training equipment
  • power for the school lights for outdoor training
  • YMCA hire for indoor training to run our junior umpire training programme
  • stationary
  • club administration
  • Papanui membership for players

Please support this night and help our very hardworking committee by getting your tickets sold and funds back to coaches as soon as possible

Money Draw at The Papanui Club for Netball

Every Friday night at The Papanui Club at 6.30pm one very lucky member is drawn. If this member is present they receive the money. Swipe your membership card at reception as you arrive, pay $2.00 for the extra money draw and you are in to win. If the member drawn is not present the money jackpots through to the next Friday. If this happens they draw again and someone present in the bar wins $500.00. Well worth coming down and also support your netball raffles while you are there!

Items Wanted

Do you have any of these lying unused around the house that you could donate to the club for training purposes? We would gratefully accept any donations for the club. We intend putting together training boxes for teams to use at the YMCA and the school and the more we have the better! Please email Deraulle at MICHAELHOPE@xtra.co.nz if you can assist.

Papanui Club Raffles - Can you spare 3 hours for your club?

We have been very fortunate this year and have been given 5 weeks to run raffles through the year at The Papanui Club.
We need parents and players over 18 years of age to help with these. We hold raffles Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings of the weeks that we are allocated. We get to keep all profit from these raffles. It is not hard at all, we sit behind a counter in the bar area and patrons line up to purchase the tickets at $2.00 per ticket.
Tickets sell fast. Its very easy and a lot of fun, excellent way to meet other club members.

We use these funds to :
  • purchase new uniforms and equipment each year
  • run the club
  • send our coaches and umpires to training courses
  • pay for lighting at the school and hiring the YMCA for senior training.
There will be a sign up table at the Uniform night so if you think you could spare us some time please add your name and contact details.

Where do we play?

...play at Hagley Park Christchurch
