2007 Club Spenditure
An extremely hard working group of parents and players have been working towards our 2007 season since last October. As a result of their time, motivation and skills our club has been in the position to purchase and accomplish all these:Sufficient funds were raised to;- $8000.00 was raised to install permanent flood lights at the school so that our junior teams could practice in a safe and well lit area.
- $4000.00 has been raised to hire the new Bishopdale YMCA so that all teams from Under 15 grade through to our senior teams can train indoors all season using the two international class courts and facilities.
- purchase additional netball tops and skirts to outfit an additional 4 teams, increasing our teams from 19 in 2006 to 23 teams this season.
- purchase 42 new match balls.
- purchase 10 new team kit bags.
- purchase 10 new first Aid kits.
- purchase 9 sets of velcoe playing bibs.
- We have joined all players over the age of 15 years to The Papanui Club.
- We have been able to send our coaches and umpires to the training courses required.
- We have been able to outfit all our club umpires and those involved in our Junior Umpire Training Development Squad in club tracksuits.
- Sponsorship was achieved for two senior teams to be outfitted in club tracksuits.
In addition funds have/will been spent on:- Club netball registration fees to the Christchurch Netball Centre.
- Stationary/postage/photocopy charges
- Player of The Day trophies/treats for junior teams.
- Power for lights at school
- Adult and Children movie tickets for "Merlins Player of the Week" Awards
- Trophies for end of year presentations
- Prize-giving function in September.
- Coaching/umpiring training clinics.
- Umpire/coaching qualification exam fees.
- Additional netball tops/skirts and equipment needed for 2008 season.
- Meat for raffles at the club.
- Medicine balls
- A Rebounder trainer
- Additional cones and markers
